119 Asian students enrolled in Williamson County districts in 2023-24 school year

There were 119 Asian students enrolled in Williamson County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 10.2% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Asian students made up 1.2% of the 9,621 students in the county. They were the least represented ethnicity.

Among the five districts in Williamson County, Carterville Community Unit School District 5 recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 67 students.
