Murphysboro HS announces hosting duties for upcoming high school regional tournament

Murphysboro High School announced on its official Twitter account that it has been selected to host the 1A High School Regional, sharing details about the event schedule and ticket purchasing information.

On October 10, 2025, Murphysboro High School posted: "Murphysboro High School was chosen to host the 1A High School Regional. Below is the schedule for the regional games and the QR codes to purchase online tickets. https://t.co/cx3UtFx6Hg". The post included a link with further information regarding game schedules and ticket access.

The following day, on October 11, 2025, Murphysboro High School shared two additional tweets: "https://t.co/Qn816qwUDI" and "https://t.co/1fDRsDeI5U", both of which provided links presumably related to the upcoming regional event.

Murphysboro High School is part of Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186 in Jackson County. The district also includes Carruthers Elementary School, General John A. Logan Attendance Centre, McElvain School, and Murphysboro Middle School (source).
