Murphysboro HS highlights Powderpuff win and shares apparel update on social media

Murphysboro High School recently shared updates and announcements on its social media platform, highlighting school activities and apparel sales.

On September 17, 2025, Murphysboro High School posted: "Hello, I know you all get hit with a million stores so there is no obligation, but....here is a little golf store. It has our scramble shirts, scramble hoodies, and a polo shirt. If you could pass it along to anyone interested we would appreciate it.  https://t.co/QuGEST5xzC".

The following day, on September 18, 2025, the school's account shared another link without additional comment: "https://t.co/oyQYDEDag3".

Later that same day, Murphysboro High School congratulated participants in a student event: "Congratulations to the senior Powderpuff team, coaches, and cheerleaders for winning last night!!! Here are a few pictures ... https://t.co/hIRLgzrwzK".

Murphysboro High School is part of Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186 in Jackson County. The district includes several schools such as Carruthers Elementary School and General John A. Logan Attendance Centre (source). According to the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 147 teachers with an average salary of $53,770; nearly three-quarters are women (source).
