Murphysboro High School has recognized its cross country athletes and reported on a recent football game, according to a series of posts on its official Twitter account.

On October 20, 2025, Murphysboro High School posted, "Congratulations to our SIRR All-Conference Boys Cross Country Runners! https://t.co/5vW7By8KAC". Later the same day, the school also congratulated its female athletes, stating, "Congratulations to our SIRR All-Conference Girls Cross Country Runners! https://t.co/Tjh7lSoXgF".

In another update on October 21, 2025, Murphysboro High School reported on its sophomore football team's recent away game: "Red Devils Soph Football Team struggles on the Road at Carterville. Final Score, 8-40!"
