Murphysboro High School reported several athletic updates on its official X account on September 17, 2025. The posts highlighted recent achievements and results for the school’s boys golf, boys soccer, and varsity volleyball teams.

In a post at 00:48 UTC, Murphysboro High School announced, "Boys Golf takes home 1st Place in Harrisburg tonight! Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team and Coach Jason Geis!"
