According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), the district employs 147 teachers with an average salary of $53,770 before pension contributions. Of these teachers, approximately three-quarters are women and one-quarter are men; there are no teachers in the district who have more than ten absences in a school year. The student body in District 186 is composed of about 69 percent White students, nearly 16 percent Black students, just over seven percent Hispanic students, and a small percentage of Asian students. In fiscal year 2020, the district spent $19,142 per student for a total expenditure exceeding $37 million. More details about these statistics can be found at the Illinois Report Card website provided by ISBE (source).
