Murphysboro High School reported updates on its athletic events and achievements through a series of posts on its official X (formerly Twitter) account. The tweets, published between September 9 and 10, 2025, included live coverage of a recent soccer match and upcoming game information.

Later that evening, the school provided a detailed update about its soccer team's performance: "With 5:28 left in the contest, Red Devils Sergio Garcia scores the game winning goal vs. A-J, 2-1.
