Murphysboro High School, a part of the Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186, recently shared updates on school activities via a series of social media posts. Murphysboro, representing Jackson County, offers diverse educational opportunities for its students.

On April 24, 2025, Murphysboro High School announced that the "Red Devils Soccer Remains on Top!" The team was scheduled to be active in a sporting event at Anna-Jonesboro on that day.

In another update on the same date, it was revealed that the "MHS Art Club is hosting a Mother's Day workshop to raise money (for our field trip and supplies in general) on Saturday, May 10th." The workshop aims to support the Art Club's financial needs.
