Southern Illinois right-hander Aidan Foeller was selected in the 11th round (Pick 340) of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday afternoon. He is the fourth Saluki taken in the MLB Draft under head coach Lance Rhodes.

A Nesbit, Mississippi product, Foeller concluded last season with a 5-3 record and a 4.52 ERA. The righty made 15 starts for SIU, pitching 77.2 innings. He led the MVC with 105 strikeouts and ranked in the top-30 nationally in both strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings (12.17).

His 105 strikeouts this season rank fourth-best in program history and mark the first time a Saluki pitcher has surpassed the century mark in strikeouts since P.J. Finigan did so in 2005.

Foeller recorded 12 or more strikeouts on five different occasions and held opponents to a .249 batting average against.

He earned Second Team All-MVC accolades and secured a spot on the MVC All-Tournament Team after pitching 10 innings and striking out 14 batters over two games in Evansville.
