Carbondale Community High School had the highest enrollment among Jackson County schools, welcoming 930 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.5% of the students were girls, and 48.4% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Carbondale Community High School students was white, accounting for 49.7% of the student population.

Among the 20 schools in Jackson County, Unity Point Elementary School ranked second in enrollment with 617 students, while Murphysboro High School welcomed 579 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.
