Trico Community Unit School District 176 Board met Sept. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Board President, Mrs. Lois Jones called the special meeting of the Trico Board of Education in the Trico Media Center at 6:30 p.m. Members present were Mr. Gerald Speith, Mr. Matt Rodewald,  Mrs. Stephanie King, Mr. Brian Blazier,  Mrs. Amy Naile, Mr. Michael Baker and President Lois Jones. Absent: None.

President Jones asked if there was any comments or questions from the the public. None at this time.

Board members, the superintendent and public had an open discussion about an early dismissal schedule (if needed) due to Covid, Quarantine and Isolation absences. 

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mr. Baker to approve the District In-Personal Learning Plan, a 2:20/2:30 pm dismissal schedule that allows students that have been place in quarantine and/or isolation to be given virtual instructional support from teachers, aides, and EOC aides from 2:45-3:30 pm on a daily basis. The schedule would last one month in length and to be implemented when twenty or more students, in any given building, are in quarantine or isolation. Yes: Speith, Rodewald, King, Blazier, Naile, Baker, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Baker moved, second by Mr. Rodewald to enter into executive session for discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline or dismissal of specific employees of the district and to discuss negotiations regarding the possible purchase of property. Yes: Rodewald, King, Blazier,  Naile, Baker, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Baker moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the preceding executive session minutes. Yes: King, Blazier,  Naile, Baker, Speith, Rodewald, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Baker moved, second by Mr. Rodewald to approve the posting for (2) nurse aides, for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year. Yes: Blazier, Naile, Baker, Speith, Rodewald, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mrs. King to adjourn the meeting. All yea. Motion carried.
