Graduates earn 832 degrees, certificates from John A Logan College

About 47.5 percent of the 832 degrees and certificates handed out by the John A Logan College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Carterville conferred 293 certificates and 102 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 170 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 166 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide and 75 associate's degrees in Biological and Physical Sciences.

The college enrolled 4,424 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
