Donations to the City of Carbondale Parks and Recreation Foundation Fund considered tax deductible under new CARES Act special tax provision

Charities and non-profit organizations have been struggling to secure funding this year due to COVID-19, and in an effort to make it easier for people to give a helping hand, the Internal Revenue Service wants to remind tax payers of a new special provision that allows up to $300 in cash donations to qualifying charities, to be deducted when filing their 2020 taxes.
