Murphysboro High School provided updates on September 18 and 19, 2025, regarding changes to event logistics and the progress of its boys' soccer team.

On September 18, Murphysboro HS informed fans and players about adjustments due to ongoing construction: "Due to gym construction we ask that all fans and players enter through the gate next to the softball field for tonight’s soccer game."

Later that evening, the school celebrated a victory by its boys' soccer team: "Red Devils Boys Soccer Team improves to 7-3-2 with tonight's 7-0 Win over Pinckneyville. Devils Remain in 1st place of SIRR Conference (5-0-1). Goals by: Sergio Garcia, Jeremiah Vaughn (2), David Boudet (4). Next, Saturday host Gibault, 11am."
