Murphysboro High School recently used its official social media account to recognize local community organizations for their support of the Red Devil Football program.
On September 2, 2025, Murphysboro High School posted a message thanking Abundant Life Fellowship for its sponsorship: "Another Red Devil Football shoutout to our 12th Man Sponsor for Friday’s game – Abundant Life Fellowship! Thank you to the congregation at Abundant Life for always supporting Red Devil Football! Come worship with them on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evenings."
Later that day, the school also acknowledged another local church. On September 2, 2025, it posted: "MHS Football would like to thank our friends from Elm Street Baptist Church for volunteering their time to keep the snacks and drinks coming working concessions Friday night. Big thanks to Elm Street for helping fuel the Red Devil spirit!"

Murphysboro High School is part of Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186 in Jackson County. The district encompasses several schools including Carruthers Elementary School and Murphysboro Middle School.
