SIU baseball series against Missouri State altered due to weather conditions

Southern Illinois University’s baseball team will face weather-related changes for the third consecutive weekend. The Salukis are scheduled to host Missouri State at Itchy Jones Stadium.

The match-up between the two teams will kick-off with a doubleheader on Sunday, April 6, at 1 p.m. The second game will start 45 minutes after the first game ends. The final game of the series will occur on Monday, April 7, though the precise time is still undecided.

Currently, Southern Illinois and Missouri State are tied at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference standings, each with a 5-1 league record. The Salukis hold an overall season record of 21-7 and are on an eight-game winning streak. Missouri State has a record of 14-13, having won seven of their last eight games.
