4. CONSENT AGENDA

A. EMPLOYMENT

1) HUB RECREATION CENTER

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Mia Moeller as part-time Camp Counselor $14.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.

2) MARION CARNEGIE LIBRARY

Approve recommendation of the Director to promote Chancellor Davis to Librarian I for 12 hours per week at $14.50 per hour in addition to his original position at 12 hours per week effective May 18, 2024.

3) STREET DEPARTMENT

Approve Commissioner Webb and Superintendent Phillips to hire a full-time Laborer to fill the vacancy created by Cody Mausey's departure; terms per the collective bargaining agreement.

B. MINUTES

1) Discuss/Approve minutes from the April 22, 2024 city council meeting.

2) Discuss/Approve the minutes from the April 24, 2024 Special Joint City Council/County Commissioners meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

5. FIRE DEPARTMENT

A. Introduce Firefighters Hunter Rishel, Matthew James Dalton, and Patrick McCowen.

6. POLICE DEPARTMENT

A. Discuss/Approve the recommendation of the merit board, Commissioner Barwick and Chief Fitts to hire Jariah Roberts as a patrol officer at the probationary 2 rate per the collective bargaining agreement. Roberts' start date will be May 20th, 2024.

7. STREET DEPARTMENT

A. Discuss/Approve the low bid to ET Simonds for the FY25 Street Overlay Program.

8. HUB RECREATION CENTER

A. Discuss/Approve a bid from Safe Slide Restoration to resurface the waterslide and perform general maintenance; a budgeted item.

B. Discuss/Approve a bid from Club Automation to replace the membership and scheduling software; a budgeted item.

C. Discuss/Approve an invoice from ProTek Communications for full camera replacement; a budgeted item.

9. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND MUNICIPAL PLANNING

A. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3956 authorizing the establishment of a TIF Interested Party Registry and Adoption of Registration Rules for the proposed TIF XX.

B. Announce Public Meeting for proposed TIF XX to be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 in the Council Chambers of Marion City Hall at 350 Tower Square Plaza.

C. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3957 accepting the dedication of the street and right of way for the extension of Sioux Drive.

D. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3958 accepting the dedication of the street and right of way platted as Campground Road.

E. Discuss/Approve FY25 TIF Grants for applications received between May 1, 2024 and May 9, 2024.
