Every Breath Counts Class | Marion Memorial Hospital
March 1 8:00am - 9:00am and 2:00pm - 3:00pm
This class is designed for anyone who wishes to know more about the lungs and breathing and to know more about chronic health issues that cause shortness of breath. In this class, topics of how to optimize breathing, maintain healthy lungs, and manage shortness of breath will be addressed by a registered respiratory therapist. Participants will be taught how the lungs work and about how exercise, diet, nutrition, and weight management affect breathing. Techniques such as breathing exercises and energy conservation will be taught. Additionally, personalized tobacco cessation treatment plans for maximum results will be offered.
Appeals to: Adults desiring to learn tips and techniques to decrease symptoms of breathlessness.
