Williamson County Board of Commissioners met May 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met at 1:15 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Jim Marlo, Chairman

Brent Gentry, Commissioner

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Attorney, Rhett Barke, present.

Discussion had on EMA candidate. Mr. Burgess will be reimbursed after he does the background check located on the County’s website. Discussion had on the ARPA money set aside for the Judges office will now be distributed through the State’s Attorney and Public Defenders Offices.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Equipment Purchase of GPS Receiver Kit, Hand Strap, Bipod, Bracket & Etc. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 22-05-18-34 ELECTED COUNTY OFFICIALS SALARIES. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Abstain; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.

Resolution Establishing the Salary for the Williamson County Sheriff. Tabled.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving an ARPA claim for Lakeside Water District in the amount of $7, 210.00. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry adjourning meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
