CARBONDALE NON-BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES PERSONNEL BOARD: City of Carbondale Announces Virtual Halloween Contests

Htur

Carbondale Non-Bargaining Unit Employees Personnel Board recently issued the following announcement.

Unpack the Halloween decorations, pick out your pumpkin, and grab the art supplies! The City of Carbondale is launching three virtual Halloween contests for you to participate in during October.

Do you think your Halloween decorations are the spookiest in town? Or are they the most unique? Share pictures of your Halloween décor with the City, and be entered into our first ever Halloween Decorating Contest! There will be two categories: Residential and Business.

The winner in both categories will receive a $50 gift card to Ace Hardware and a yard sign to proudly display. To submit an entry, email pictures of your display to contest@explorecarbondale.com or tag us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. (Please include a way to contact you later, in case you are a winner!) Entries will be judged on creativity, scare factor, and originality. All entries must be submitted by October 26, 2020. To win this contest, your home must be located in Carbondale city limits.

Calling all artists! It’s time to get creative. Break out the art supplies and decorate a face mask to enter our Face Mask Decorating Contest! Use a pre-made mask or sew your own. As long as your face mask or face covering functions to protect others from the spread of COVID-19, you’ll be in the running to win this competition. Enter this contest by emailing pictures of your face mask to contest@explorecarbondale.com. All entries must be submitted by October 26, 2020. The winner will receive a Halloween Gift Basket from the City of Carbondale!

When you have finished carving your pumpkin, send us a picture to enter the Pumpkin Carving Contest! Email pictures to contest@explorecarbondale.com by October 26. Make sure to include your name and phone number so we can contact you if you are the winner. The winner of this contest will also receive a Halloween Gift Basket!

The winners of each contest will be announced on our Facebook page at noon on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
