Carbondale Township Fire District responded to 17 calls in 2018 - 45.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Carbondale included 14 fires - eight structure fires and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $300 in fire loss - or about $21 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.
