Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Williamson County?

There were 22 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Williamson County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows that 19 men and three women were released in Williamson County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2016, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Anthony W. Newbolds. He was convicted of a property crime in 2000 when he was 38 years old. He is now 58.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Williamson County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
