Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Carbondale Community Arts is pleased to announce, Sandwiches and Strings: Third Thursday Concert for the month of September at Artspace 304. This month’s performance program will feature musicians Liz Hartman and Ken Wollberg.
Liz Hartman is a well-known bassist (both stand-up and electric) who lives and works in the Carbondale area. In addition to her musical commitments to the SI Symphony, her band Porch Fire, and to the Heart Strings String Quartet, she serves as a librarian at John A. Logan College Library.
Ken Wollberg, a violist and violinist, has been a professional musician and music educator since 1974 and is the director of Heart Strings Violin Studio and co-director of the Sandwiches & Strings program.
Attendees will be treated to live performance of classical music compositions over the lunch hour on Thursday, September 20 at noon. Bring a lunch and enjoy live strings in downtown Carbondale!
