Trico Community Unit School District 176 Board met April 17.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Board President, Mrs. Jones called the regular meeting of the Trico Board of Education in the Trico Media Center at 6:30 pm. Members present were Mr. Gerald Speith, Mr. Dan Carson, Mrs. Stephanie King, Mrs. Judy, Rieckenberg, Mr. Brian Thies and President Lois Jones. Absent: Mr. Matt Bernaix

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Speithto approve the following Consent Agenda:

1.Approve minutes for February 20, 2017

2.Approve bills for the month of March 2017

3. Approve Activity fund report for February 2017

4. Approve monthly financial statement for February 2017

5. Approve Substitute List for February 2017

6. Approve Enrollment Report for February 2017

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Carson to approve the final readings on Board Policies:

Mr. Thies moved, second by Mrs. Rieckenberg to approve the proposed fees for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the tentative school calendar for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes:Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Thies moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the outlined summer 2017 projects for the Trico #176 School District as presented. Yes: Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Carson to approve the Boys Baseball Camp for June 6-9, in the afternoon to be held on the high school baseball field. Instructors are Jason Huseman, Drew Pettit, Casey Lodge, Darl Lodge, and current players. Yes: Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Thies moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the Pioneer Basketball Camp for June 6-9 in the morning to be held in the gymnasium. Instructors will be Andrew Wilson, Ronny Wettig, Drew Pettit, Tyler Coleman, Daron Meyerhoff, Earl Meyerhoff and current players. Yes: King Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Thies to approve the volleyball camp for May 30-June 2 in the morning in the elementary and high school gyms. Instructors will be Julie Rathert RebeccaRathert and current players. Yes: Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the Girls Softball Camp for June 12-15 in the morning at the high school field. Instructors will be Drew Franklin, Jessica Prange and current players. Yes: Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the Project Graduation trip to Fenton, MO on May 19, 2017. Yes: Speith Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Thies moved, second by Mrs. King to go into Executive Session to consider information regarding collective bargaining matters, the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees. Yes: Carson, King, Bernaix,

Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

The board retired to closed session at 7:19 p.m.

The board returned to open session at 8:12 p.m.

Mr. Thies moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the transfer of Mr. Andrew Wilson from JH/HS math teacher to the posted position of high school physical education teacher for the 2017-18 school year. Yes: Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mrs. King to recall Mrs. Dana Kellerman for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Thies to approve the involuntary transfer of Mrs. Dana Kellerman from elementary school teacher to JH math teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes:Speith, Carson, King,Rieckenberg,Thies, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. Rieckenberg moved, second by Mr. Carson to approve the involuntary transfer of Mrs. Jessica Kranawetter from the Title I teacher to 4th grade teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mrs. King to rehire Mr. Mike Denault as HS Principal for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Thies to rehire Mr. Ron Coleman as JH Principal for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mrs. Rieckenberg to rehire Mrs. Jenny Wilson as Elementary Principal for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Thies, Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Jones. No; None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Thies to rehire all tenured teachers for the 2017-2018 school year. Yes: Speith, Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. Rieckenberg moved, second by Mr. Thies to rehire and grant tenure to Misty Coleman, Chelsea Gilliam, Richard Jaroski, Laci Froemling and Heather Denault. Yes: Carson, King, Rieckenberg, Thies, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Carson to rehire and renew contracts for the 2017-2018 school year for the following non-tenured teachers: Matt Juergemeier, Kaitlyn Lacy, Katelyn Knowles, Dana Kellerman, Sarah Roth, Tyler Coleman, Jayma Stroud, Lane Leposky, Sarah Bailey, Erica Asselmeier, Drew Pettit and Christy Guy.
