Southern Illinois University's women's swim and dive team will travel to Champaign, Illinois, this weekend for a tri-meet. The event will take place at the ARC Pool in Urbana-Champaign on October 24 and 25. The Salukis will compete against the University of Illinois Fighting Illini and the Illinois State Redbirds.

The tri-meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and continue at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Live results will be available through MeetMobile.

In their previous outing on October 11, Southern Illinois faced Northwestern and Miami (OH) in a tri-meet. The Salukis lost both meets, with scores of 218-76 against Northwestern and 174-120 against Miami (OH). Olivia Herron led the team by winning three events: the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, and 200-yard individual medley. Liseska Gallegos Gutierrez also secured a win in the 100-yard backstroke.

The University of Illinois comes into the meet after defeating Iowa State twice on October 17 and 18, with scores of 121-65 and 123-82. Illinois State last competed against UIC on October 17, where they lost by a score of 221-78. The Redbirds currently have a record of one win and three losses this season; their only victory was against Quincy on October 3.
