Carbondale Elementary School District #95 Board of Education met Aug. 7.

A special meeting of the Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 5:30 PM at The John Major Learning Center, 1150 E. Grand Avenue, Carbondale, IL 62901.

Upon roll call, the following members were present:

Mr. Corey Cawthon, President

Ms. Catherine Field, Vice President

Ms. Imani McHenry, Secretary

Administrators present:

Ms. Janice Pavelonis, Superintendent

Elwyn Smith – Student Supervisory Aide at Carbondale Middle School

Tamren Pierce – Instructional Aide at Parrish School

Jane Cooper - Math Interventionist Aide at Lewis School

Jaclyn Stamps – Instructional Aide at Lewis School

Margaret Schissler – Instructional Aide at Carbondale Middle School

7.12 Employment of School Nurse

Oliver moved, seconded by Field, Recommend approving the employment of Carrie Witbracht as an LPN at Lewis School effective the 2025-2026 school year, pending a clear CBI.

following certified staff for the 2025-2026 school year, pending a clear CBI:

Dana Schwengels – Special Education Teacher at Thomas School

Lanaya Nelson – 2nd Grade Teacher at Thomas School, pending licensure

Angela Mausey – Special Education Teacher at Carbondale Middle School
