Murphysboro High School shared updates on its official X (formerly Twitter) account regarding the SIRR Conference Volleyball Preview and support for its Red Devils team.

On August 30, 2025, Murphysboro High School posted a tweet featuring a link: https://t.co/nbxIBblsSF. A few minutes later, another tweet was published: https://t.co/ATigYvqkuS.

Later that day, at 12:01 p.m. UTC, the school added encouragement for its volleyball team by posting, "Day 2 of the SIRR Conference Volleyball Preview at Carterville! Good Luck Red Devils!!! https://t.co/6HdzPaAbUR".

Murphysboro High School is part of the Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186, which serves Jackson County and includes several schools such as Carruthers Elementary School and Murphysboro Middle School. According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 147 teachers with an average salary of $53,770.
