A special meeting of the Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 was held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 5:30 PM at The John Major Learning Center, 1150 E. Grand Avenue, Carbondale, IL 62901.

Upon roll call, the following members were present:

7.1 Action on Appointment of Board Member
Oliver moved, seconded by Greer, Recommend the appointment of Marshall Hunt as a Board Member until April 2027.

7.2 The Oath will be administered by Elizabeth Kelly to Marshall Hunt.
Oath of Office is Taken.
Marshall Hunt will take his seat at the board table.
7.3 Action on Playground Renovation
Greer moved, seconded by Oliver, Recommend approving the bid submitted by Samron Midwest Contracting for the playground renovation project at Thomas School in the amount of $124,550.
Discussion: Janiece Blake, CSBO, gave an overview of the bid process held on June 10, 2025. A memo outlining the details was included in the board packet. A notice will be sent out on June 13, 2025 to Samron Midwest Contracting to proceed with the job.
