Murphysboro High School has shared pertinent information through a series of tweets concerning educational statistics and facts pertinent to the Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186.

On April 2, 2025, the school district shared the Illinois Report Card's data, noting that the average state teacher salary in 2023 was $73,916, and the state average administrative salary was $116,908. Additionally, the average student-to-administrative ratio was 141:1, and the average student-to-teacher ratio was 17:1.
