On March 31, 2025, Murphysboro High School announced a change in location and scheduling for the varsity baseball game. The game against Jacobs High School is now set to take place at Mt. Dew Park, commencing at 4 PM. The adjustment was made to accommodate the current sports calendar. More details can be found in their official announcement "SCHEDULE CHANGE. The following day, on April 1, 2025, Murphysboro High School shared a highlight of the girls’ soccer team’s success. The Red Devils secured a 9-0 victory over Vienna, improving their season to a record of 3-2-1. Standout players included Izzy Doerr, who contributed with three goals, Callie Decker and Cama Woosley each with two, while Adyson Cunico and Aubri Johnson also scored.
