Salukis face Belmont aiming to even series ahead of Arch Madness

The Southern Illinois University (SIU) men's basketball team is preparing to host Belmont at the Banterra Center this Saturday. The game, set for 6 p.m. CT, offers the Salukis a chance to level their season series with the Bruins ahead of Arch Madness.

Tickets are available starting at $10 without added fees and can be purchased online or by phone.

The game will feature a celebration of the Banterra Center's 60th birthday with themes from the 1980s and '90s. Additionally, Special Olympics teams Murray Center and SI Ohana will play during halftime, and attendees can support Special Olympics through ticket purchases or donations.

Broadcast coverage includes ESPN Plus with Larry Larson and Jamaal Tatum, as well as radio commentary from Luke Martin and Rodney Watson on multiple platforms.

Currently, SIU stands at 12-14 overall and holds a four-way tie in the Missouri Valley Conference standings. Notably, Ali Dibba and Kennard Davis Jr. rank among the top scorers in the conference.

Belmont enters with a record of 17-9 and leads several statistical categories within the MVC. The matchup marks their sixth meeting, with SIU leading historically at home.

Southern Illinois has shown resilience this season after an initial challenging start in conference play, now boasting seven wins out of their last ten games.
