Jackie Lis from Southern Illinois University has been recognized in the Softball America 2025 Preseason Top 100 list, announced on Monday. She ranks at No. 69 and is the only player from the Missouri Valley Conference included.

Lis was named MVC Most Valuable Player in 2024, achieving a batting average of .344 with 16 home runs, which is the second-highest in program history, just behind her own record of 17 set in 2023.

In her two years as a Saluki, Lis has hit 33 career home runs, placing her fifth in SIU's career records. She is six home runs away from tying Katie Jordan's record of 39 set between 2002-05.

Lis has been selected for the All-MVC First Team for two consecutive seasons and was also honored as the 2024 MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Over her collegiate career spanning 111 games, Lis holds a batting average of .350, an on-base percentage of .455, and a slugging percentage of .722. She has accumulated 107 runs scored, 93 RBIs, 62 walks, along with hitting 17 doubles and four triples.

The Salukis are set to start their 2025 season on February 7 in Auburn, Alabama against Appalachian State. They will also face Auburn and North Carolina during their opening tournament.
