Southern Illinois University linebacker Ben Bogle has been recognized as an Associated Press All-America honorable mention. This marks the first time a Saluki linebacker has achieved All-America status since Brandin Jordan in 2009.

Bogle, a sophomore from Ponte Vedra, Florida, had a standout season with 16.5 tackles for loss. This performance placed him at the top among linebackers in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and among the best nationwide.

In the second week of the season, Bogle was named National Player of the Week following his exceptional game against Austin Peay. During that match, he made 3.5 sacks and set a school record with 6.5 tackles for loss.

Throughout the season, Bogle accumulated 87 tackles and 5.5 sacks, along with two interceptions, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, and a fumble recovery.

Post-season, Bogle was listed as one of 35 finalists for the Buck Buchanan Award by Stats Perform, which honors the top defensive player in the FCS. He concluded the voting process ranked 20th.
