The Southern Illinois University (SIU) softball team has announced the signing of three new players for its 2025 recruiting class. The team has secured commitments from Jordan Stewart, Brooklynn Danielson, and Delaney Osborne.

Jordan Stewart, an infielder from Southlake, Texas, joins SIU with a notable high school career at Carroll Sr. High School. She was recognized as a First Team All-District player and named Defensive Player of the Year among other accolades. Her club team achievements include winning top club nationals and placing in other significant tournaments. Head coach Jen Sewell commented on Stewart's recruitment: "Jordan was a player we identified early on in the recruiting process that we wanted to go after extremely hard."

Brooklynn Danielson, a pitcher from Kenosha, Wisconsin, comes to SIU after an impressive tenure at Mary D. Bradford High School. She earned First Team All-State honors as a junior and maintained a strong pitching record throughout her high school career. Coach Sewell expressed excitement about Danielson's decision to join the Salukis: "Being that it's generally Big 10 territory, we are thrilled to see Danielson choose to be a Saluki."

Delaney Osborne arrives from Loomis, California, where she excelled both academically and athletically at Del Oro High School. As an All-Conference center fielder with strong batting statistics in her travel ball organization, Osborne caught the attention of SIU during a game while watching another player. Coach Sewell praised Osborne's versatility: "Her athleticism also includes a big arm and a big RH bat that fits into our slugging mindset here at Southern."

These additions reflect SIU's commitment to enhancing its softball program by attracting talented players from across the country.
