Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball team is set to face Evansville and Indiana State in a weekend series starting Friday, October 18. The matches will take place in Evansville, Indiana.

The Salukis have a strong history against both teams. They lead the all-time series against Evansville with 49 wins to 19 losses, having won four of their last five encounters. Their latest victory was a 3-1 win on October 28, 2023. Against Indiana State, Southern Illinois holds a 57-23-1 advantage, winning the last four meetings, including the most recent on October 27, 2023.

In the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), Southern Illinois ranks fourth in total blocks and blocks per set. Key players include Anna Jaworski, who is third in school history for assists; Larissa Seger, ninth in hitting percentage and fifth in total blocks; and Cecilia Bulmahn, who ranks ninth in digs and service aces within the conference.

Southern Illinois has demonstrated resilience this season with a 5-1 record in five-set matches. The team's only loss came against Lindenwood on September 14. They also hold the MVC high for aces in a three-set match with 11 against Idaho on August 31.
