The Southern Illinois University Department of Athletics has announced its 2025 Saluki Hall of Fame class. The inductees will be formally honored in a ceremony on Friday, October 24, followed by public appearances during Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 25.

The 2025 class includes six individuals: Jeremy Chinn and Fabray Collins from football, Shaye Harre and Brianna Jones from softball, Rodney Watson as the men's basketball coach, and Peyton Wilhoit from men's golf. Additionally, the school's national championship gymnastics teams from 1964 to 1974 will also be inducted.

Jeremy Chinn is recognized as one of the most accomplished players in school history. He was a Consensus All-American in 2019 and a three-time All-MVFC performer. Chinn was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers and currently plays for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Fabray Collins holds the school record for career tackles with 443. He played a key role in leading SIU to the 1983 I-AA National Championship and had a stint with the Minnesota Vikings.

Shaye Harre excelled in softball as a three-time All-MVC selection and two-time Academic All-American. She set records for doubles and contributed significantly to SIU's conference title win.

Brianna Jones made her mark as a dominant pitcher with multiple school records, including wins and strikeouts in a game. Her performances led SIU to NCAA Regional appearances twice during her tenure.

Rodney Watson served as an assistant coach for men's basketball over two decades, contributing to numerous NCAA Tournament and NIT appearances while achieving significant team success.

Peyton Wilhoit became SIU's first four-time All-Conference selection in men's golf history. He led his team to MVC Championships and set several school records during his career.

SIU's gymnastics programs won ten national championships between 1964-74 under coaches Bill Meade and Herb Vogel, bringing great distinction to the university.
