The Southern Illinois University (SIU) women's soccer team is set to host the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) on Sunday for Legacy Weekend in Carbondale, Illinois. The match will begin at 1 p.m.

The Salukis approach this game with a record of 6-2-5 overall and 2-0-3 in league play, following a recent 2-0 victory over Valparaiso. In that match, Lucy Horn scored her first goal for SIU. This season, nine different players have contributed to the team's total of 15 goals. Goalkeeper Fabiana Solano ranks second in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) for goals allowed, conceding nine this season. Maycie Massingill is tied for the lead in the MVC with two game-winning goals. Both Solano and Horn have played 1,070 minutes each this season.

UNI comes into Sunday's match with a record of 7-4-3 overall and 2-2-2 in conference play after a 1-1 draw against Belmont on Thursday. Olivia Knoepfle leads UNI with six goals this season.

This upcoming game marks the fifth meeting between SIU and UNI, with the Panthers leading the series 3-0-1. In their last encounter, SIU was defeated by UNI with a score of 3-0.
