Saluki Athletics has inducted six individuals into its Hall of Fame, honoring their significant contributions to the sports community. The Class of 2024 includes Jorge Delgado (Swimming), Korey Lindsey (Football), Rick Murray (Baseball), Rishonda Napier (Women's Basketball), Sally Perkins (Athletic Trainer), and Rick Walker (Swimming & Diving Coach).

Jorge Delgado was recognized for his achievements during 1975-76, earning four All-American honors. He placed sixth in the 200 butterfly at the NCAAs in both years and gained additional accolades in relay events. His international swimming career includes competing in the Olympics for Ecuador and ranking among the world's top swimmers in 1978.

Korey Lindsey's tenure from 2007-10 was marked by two First-Team All-American selections and a finalist position for the Buck Buchanan Award. With notable performances as a cornerback, he ranks third in school history for interceptions. Lindsey furthered his career by joining the Cincinnati Bengals through the NFL Draft.

Rick Murray played a pivotal role on SIU's baseball team between 1975-77, contributing to NCAA Tournament appearances and a third-place finish at the College World Series. He achieved First-Team All-American status and maintained impressive career statistics before being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Rishonda Napier, active from 2012-17, left her mark as one of SIU's all-time leaders in several statistical categories including scoring, assists, and three-pointers. Her consistent performance earned her multiple First-Team All-Conference honors and recognition as an MVC Scholar-Athlete.

Sally Perkins served SIU from 1976 to 2001 as director of athletic training and head athletic trainer. She played a crucial role in developing programs for athletes with eating disorders and was celebrated for her dedication to student-athletes' health and well-being.

Rick Walker dedicated over three decades to coaching at SIU, leading teams to numerous conference championships. His expertise extended beyond coaching into open-water swimming competitions internationally, culminating in roles with USA Swimming’s Olympic Committee.

The induction ceremony underscored each individual's lasting impact on Saluki Athletics.
