Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball earned a split at the Lindenwood Invitational after a 3-0 sweep of Austin Peay on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.

Ella Swansiger led the Salukis (6-3) with nine kills. Freshman middle-hitting duo Avery Parris and Eva Krakowski were key, combining for 15 kills and 2.5 blocks on the day.

The Salukis never stretched a lead longer than five in the first two sets but never trailed late and secured an insurmountable 2-0 lead that the Governors (1-6) could not overcome.

An 8-0 run in the middle of set three iced the match for Southern, who capped the sweep with a 25-20 set three victory.

SIU will host the Saluki Invitational beginning Thursday at Davies Gym in Carbondale.
