Local lawmakers are once again hosting a free senior citizens health fair at The Hub in Marion on Wednesday, September 25. State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg), State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis), and State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) will join dozens of local healthcare providers and senior citizen service vendors for the annual event, which offers free healthcare screenings, information, and prizes to area seniors.
State Representative Paul Jacobs, a practicing optometrist, expressed his enthusiasm for interacting with constituents at the annual event.
“We really have a thriving healthcare industry in southern Illinois that provides people of all ages with top-notch care,” Jacobs said. “This is an opportunity, especially for seniors in the area, to gather information from dozens of vendors, interact with providers, and take advantage of some free health care screenings. We’re looking forward to another great event.”
The annual senior health fair will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The HUB Recreation Center located at 917 West Main Street, Marion, IL 62959.
