Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball to compete at Lindenwood Invitational

Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball team is set to participate in the Lindenwood Invitational this weekend in St. Charles, Missouri.

The schedule for the weekend includes a match against Chattanooga on Friday at 3 p.m., which will be broadcast on ESPN+, and a game against Austin Peay on Saturday at 11 a.m.

In terms of series history, Southern Illinois University (SIU) has faced Lindenwood only once before, securing a 3-1 victory on September 6, 2023, in Carbondale. The Salukis have split their first eight matchups with Austin Peay evenly at 4-4, with their most recent encounter resulting in a 3-0 win for SIU on August 25, 2012.

Several players from SIU have notable statistics heading into the tournament:

- Anna Jaworski ranks fifth all-time in Saluki history with 3,271 assists and fifth in The Valley with an average of 5.21 assists per set.

- Larissa Seger is fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) with a hitting percentage of 32.2%.

- Cecilia Bulmahn ranks tenth in service aces per set (0.38) and seventh in digs per set (4.28).

- Kelly Franklin achieved a career-high of 19 kills during last Friday's win over Memphis.

- Freshman Eva Krakowski recorded her best match so far this season with 17 kills and eight blocks against UT Martin.

- Krakowski (0.95) and Seger (0.93) are ranked seventh and eighth respectively in blocks per set within The Valley.

- Annabelle Sulish has managed four double-doubles across seven games played.
