Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball achieved a notable victory against UT Martin, coming back from a two-set deficit on Tuesday in Martin, Tenn. This marks the second time this season that the Salukis have reversed a 2-0 set disadvantage, the first being against Oral Roberts on September 1.

Freshman Eva Krakowski had an outstanding performance with 17 kills and eight blocks. Annabelle Sulish contributed with 10 kills and 15 digs, while Anna Jaworski added 28 assists and 17 digs, each recording double-doubles.

UT Martin (2-5) controlled the first two sets without allowing Southern Illinois (5-2) to lead beyond the seventh point. However, Southern Illinois narrowly won the third set with a score of 25-23 after fending off two short runs by the Skyhawks.

The fourth set saw UT Martin close to victory at 24-19, but Southern Illinois responded with seven consecutive points. This comeback was fueled by crucial kills from Annabelle Sulish and Ella Swansiger, along with key serves from freshman Kaelin Pribyl in her collegiate debut.

Larissa Seger's decisive kill secured the win for SIU in the fifth set, during which they never trailed. This victory extends their winning streak over UT Martin to nine matches.

Next on their schedule is the Lindenwood Invitational in St. Charles, Mo., on Friday, September 13.
