Williamson County Board of Commissioners met July 22.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Monday, July 22, 2024 at 2:02 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Jim Rasor, Commissioner

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Chris Stanley to the Corinth Water Board. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson , Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Collective Bargaining Agreement between Williamson County and AFSCME for Corrections Officers, Bailiffs, Court Security Officers, Jail Cooks and Sheriff’s Clerk will be voted on at a later meeting.

Discussion had on the payment to ICIT in the amount of $36,000. This amount will be paid out of the Liability Insurance Trust.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving a Fireworks Permit for Walkers Bluff Casino with changes noted on the application with the date being changed to August 23, 2024. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving the removal of a culvert on Coyote Road and signage be taken down and residual grading. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Tim Atkisson, approving Engagement Letter for Meyer & Associates for the Circuit Clerk Exit Audit. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, No. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving RESOLUTION NO. 24-07-22-83 RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNTY ENGINEER. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving the purchase of one Bush Hog Mower in the amount of $16,565.00 from AG Revolution. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

ARPA claims from Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless, Spillertown and City of Herrin were presented for signatures.

Discussion had with Ashley Gott, Treasurer, on a schedule for collection of taxes. Will be discussed further at a later meeting.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor to adjourn meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
