Illinois election rule changes deemed unconstitutional by court

Last month, Democrats amended a Senate child welfare bill and enacted legislation that changed Illinois election rules within 48 hours. The law was subsequently found unconstitutional.

The Caucus Blog commented on the situation: "Though this law was found unconstitutional, it makes it clear that Democrats will do whatever it takes to get their way, even if it means disenfranchising Illinois voters."
