State Representative Dave Severin has issued guidance to local residents and businesses in Southern Illinois following severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that struck the region on Sunday evening.

"I will continue to monitor the latest information from our local and state emergency management agencies. I pray for the residents of southern Illinois who are dealing with the fallout from strong and severe thunderstorms and tornadoes on Sunday night," Severin stated. "My office stands ready to assist individuals and businesses with any inquiries they may have regarding the storm cleanup and response."

Severin emphasized that additional storm damage response information and emergency preparedness resources can be accessed by visiting Ready.Illinois.Gov.

The website, a state-sponsored platform, prohibits campaign-related posts, content, and comments in compliance with ethics regulations.
