State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) welcomed Benton High School student Parker Johnson to the Illinois House to serve as a Page for a Day during the final scheduled week of the spring legislative session. Parker, a junior at Benton High School and son of Benji and Dawn Johnson, is actively involved in scholar bowl, jazz band, and cross country. He will also be serving as the upcoming Governor of the YMCA’s Youth and Government program.

“I was thrilled to welcome Parker to the House floor to serve as my Page for a Day,” Rep. Severin said. “Parker got a taste of what goes on during Session, met several representatives, and met Governor Pritzker as well. Thank you, Parker, and best wishes on continued success in your future!”
