4. CONSENT AGENDA

A. INVOICES

1) Discuss/Approve 2nd quarter 2023 REDCO payment of $21,250.

2) Approve an invoice from Dinges Fire Company for 8 sets of bunker gear.

3) Discuss/Approve Governmental Consulting Solutions, Inc. Invoice 6229 dated 8/1/2023 for $3,000 for August 2023 Consulting Services.

B. EMPLOYMENT

1) HUB RECREATION CENTER

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Landon Howell as part-time Custodian $13.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Mary Ciara King as part-time Front Desk Attendant $13.00/hour, Cafe Attendant $13.00/hour, and Fitness Attendant $13.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Amber Hall as part-time Volleyball Instructor $20.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to add the job code of Swim Instructor at the wage of $20.00/hour, for current Lifeguard Chandra Salvetti, effective August 15, 2023.

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to add the job code of Swim Instructor Trainee at the wage of $15.00/hour, for current Lifeguard Madison Emery, effective August 15, 2023.

Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Sally Ward as part-time Front Desk Attendant $13.00/hour, and Cafe Attendant $13.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.

2) STREET DEPARTMENT

Approve the recommendation of the Superintendent to hire Harry Frye to an open seasonal laborer position; terms per the collective bargaining agreement.

Approve the recommendation of the Superintendent to hire Thomas Angone to an open, full-time Laborer/Mechanic at terms per the collective bargaining agreement.

3) MARION CULTURAL AND CIVIC CENTER

Approve the recommendation of the Director to hire Roxanne Tesar and Dorothy Delaney to open part-time Custodian positions at $13/hour.

4) WATER DEPARTMENT

Approve the recommendation of the Superintendent to hire Larrell Caldwell to an open seasonal Laborer position at terms per the collective bargaining agreement.

C. MINUTES

1) Discuss/Approve minutes from the July 24, 2023 council meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

5. BUILDING & CODE SERVICES

A. Discuss and vote to either affirm or overrule the Zoning Board’s approval. Marion Center Project, LLC is Requesting a Variance at 1517 Champions Dr., yard intrusion and setback of a permanent patio that was built without an approved permit.

B. Discuss and vote to either affirm or overrule the Zoning Board’s approval of a Zoning Change (Ordinance 3908) at 1600 E. Boyton St., PIN# 07-20-153-002 from R-2 Multi-Family Residential to C-1 General Commercial to use as office space for Ross Construction.

C. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3909 Amending Ordinance 2206 Concerning Weeds, Grass and Vegetation.

6. PAVILION

A. Discuss/Approve proposals to replace sinks and cabinetry in all bathrooms.

7. PUBLIC AFFAIRS

A. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3910 setting a date, time, and place for a public hearing.
