On Sunday, December 4, 2022, Marion Health President and CEO, Stephanie Hilton-Siebert, announced during the Lights of Love Ceremony, honoring Dr. Doris Jesch, that Marion Health will be naming the Pediatric Unit at Marion General Hospital Campus the Dr. Doris Jesch Pediatric Unit. Dr. Jesch has provided pediatric services to our community for over 52 years. She has practiced her entire medical career as a Pediatrician here in Marion, Indiana. Throughout her tenure with Marion Health, she served on multiple committees, including the Credentials, General Staff, and Infection Control committees. She was a member of the Primary Care and Maternal/Child service lines, providing leadership by serving as Chief and Assistant Chief of the Maternal Child department.
“Marion Health is immensely proud of Dr. Jesch for her dedication to our hospital and to the people of this community. Thousands of children and their parents know how much she truly cared for her patients,” stated Stephanie Hilton-Siebert, President and CEO of Marion Health. She went on to add “Dr. Jesch lovingly touched so many lives in our community, and we are privileged to honor her tonight with naming our pediatric unit the “Dr. Doris Jesch Pediatric Unit.”
Dr. Jesch was the Lights of Love Honoree at the 33rd annual Lights of Love ceremony conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 330 N Wabash Avenue. Dr. Jesch completed her medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. She served an internship at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York and completed her Pediatric Residency at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After her residency, Dr. Jesch moved to Marion, IN where she served as a Pediatrician for over 52 years.
