Center for Advanced Study announces 2022-23 associates, fellows

The Center for Advanced Study has appointed 16 faculty members as associates or fellows for the 2022-23 academic year.

CAS associates and fellows are tenured and untenured faculty members, respectively, whose proposals are selected in an annual competition. Associates and fellows are granted a one-semester teaching release to pursue a scholarly or creative project.

CAS associates for 2022-23:

Teresa Cardador, labor and employment relations

Ben Grosser, art and design

Rachel S. Harris, comparative and world literature

Kristin Hoganson, history

Benjamin Hooberman, physics

Prashant Jain, chemistry

Jason Ridlon, animal sciences

Andiara Schwingel, kinesiology and community health

Anne Sickles, physics

Cory Suski, natural resources and environmental sciences

Deke Weaver, art and design

CAS fellows for 2022-23:

*Arijit Banerjee, electrical and computer engineering

*Sangjin Kim, physics

Lisa Mercer, graphic design

*Leona Yi-Fan Su, advertising

*Xiao Su, chemical and biomolecular engineering

* designates a CAS Beckman fellow.

Applications for CAS associates and fellows for the 2023-34 academic year are due Oct. 4.
