Rep. Dave Severin (R-Marion) announced in an Aug. 9 Facebook post that he would be hosting a health and wellness fair for seniors with Sen. Dave Fowler (R-Harrisburg).
The fair will be held at The Hub in Marion on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m.
"This annual event offers free basic health screenings and information and resources for seniors from across the region from dozens of health care and senior services providers," Severin said, "We will have free refreshments and door prizes from dozens of vendors from across the area; I hope to see you there!"
During the rainstorms that swept through Franklin and Jefferson counties on July 26, Severin commended IDOT and Franklin County EMS for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, according to a North Egypt News report.
"Thank you IDOT, Franklin County EMS, and WFCN News for keeping folks updated on the latest road conditions," Severin said, "Please drive with caution in the rain!"
Severin, who was elected to the Illinois House for the first time in 2017, has served on the Judiciary - Criminal and Mental Health & Addiction committees.
